Fireflies is an audiovisual production agency established in 2012 by photographer and director Felana Rajaonarivelo. Fireflies produces top-notch audiovisual content with a special focus on creating socially-conscious films and photographs. Since its founding, the agency has emerged as an industry leader, with diverse and esteemed clients from business, government, and non-governmental organizations.

Fireflies is a team of passionate and experienced young people skilled in humanitarian photography, human-centered corporate films, and impactful documentaries. We excel in sound engineering, sound design, graphic design, 3D creation, motion design, and audio mixing in Dolby Surround 5.1.

Fireflies emphasizes the importance of strong collaborations with clients and industry talents. Pre-Production Planning

This service involves scriptwriting, storyboarding, location scouting, casting, and all the necessary preparations before actual filming begins.

Cinematography

Cinematographers, or directors of photography, provide expertise in capturing high-quality visuals. This includes camera operation, lighting design, and shot composition.

Photography

Discover landscapes, intimate portraits, and candid moments meticulously captured with artistic vision, specializing in natural light to authentically portray each subject.

Multi-Camera Streaming Broadcast

In a video and streaming control room, the team oversees equipment setup, live switching, and real-time troubleshooting to ensure smooth streaming. We maintain high-quality broadcast standards for seamless content delivery.

Motion Design & VFX

VFX professionals create computer-generated imagery (CGI) and other special effects to enhance the visual appeal of a video or film. This includes adding digital characters, environments, and explosions.

Sound Design and Audio Production

Sound engineers & designers work to create high-quality audio for the video. This includes recording, editing, & mixing audio elements like dialogue, music creation, & sound effects.

Post-Production Editing

Video editing transforms raw footage into a cohesive narrative. Editors cut, arrange, and add effects to refine the final product. Color grading enhances visuals by adjusting tones and contrast for emotional impact and cinematic quality.

Events Organization

Event organization requires meticulous planning from concept and venue selection to logistics and execution. Successful organizers ensure smooth operations and create memorable experiences.

Advocating for greater involvement of women in public decision-making: elected officials, entrepreneurs, former ministers, activists, and guardians of their land, these committed citizens of the Indian Ocean are united by their dedication to peace and stability as pillars of sustainable development. Fireflies met these inspiring women as part of the Governance, Peace, and Stability project, supported by AFD – Agence Française de Développement.

A film by Fireflies

ANKOAY was the Malagasy team that represented us at the FIBA 3×3 Africa Cup! From November 29 to December 1 at the Palais des Sports Mahamasina. Fireflies, in collaboration with CANAL+, produced a short documentary that showcased the team, their journey, and preparations. It was broadcast on CANAL+, GASY SPORT TV (channel 202).

TotalEnergies Marketing Madagasikara S.A.

Celebration of Female Excellence

On the occasion of its centenary, TotalEnergies Marketing Madagasikara unveiled the book “Elles, pionnières aux mille et une facettes” (Women, Pioneers with a Thousand Facets), a tribute to 15 inspiring Malagasy women whose courage and determination embody the strength of women. This project follows the documentary “Femmes aux mille et une facettes”, also produced by Fireflies, which managed the interviews, oversaw the book’s production, and handled the photo and video coverage of the event. Our CEO, Felana Rajaonarivelo, proudly authored this work, marking a significant milestone in celebrating female excellence.

Yas, the New Era of Telecommunications

Rebranding of Telma to Yas

Fireflies had the honor of providing photo coverage for this milestone event marking the rebranding of Telma to Yas, a unified pan-African brand under Axian Telecom. The ceremony, attended by notable figures such as Stéphanie Delmotte, Minister of Digital Development, and Hassanein Hiridjee, Chairman of Axian Telecom, celebrated this historic turning point for telecommunications in Madagascar. Our goal was to capture the essence of this moment, highlighting inspiring speeches, the unveiling of the new identity, and the commitment to an inclusive and transformative digital future for Africa.
